Window Shutter Restoration

Timber shutter restoration will improve your home’s security, reduce heating costs, limit external noise and enhance your property’s aesthetics.

Whether your original shutters have been painted shut, no longer close or are badly damaged, we offer a complete restoration service to bring your shutters back to life and full working order.

Firstly we remove existing wooden shutters and clean surrounding areas to eliminate any build up of paint that might be restricting the flow of movement.

We then take each original shutter back to our workshop to remove existing paintwork, exposing any rotting or damaged wood.

We fill and thoroughly sand down all surfaces in order to create the perfect base for a smooth paint finish. If you would like a stained timber finish, your shutters can be dipped in acid.

Once the shutters are complete we install them on-site with new ironmongery, including hinges and handles in a brass or chrome finish. We also manufacture internal shutter leaves if required.

Finally, after reinstallation we will check the smooth opening and closing motion of your shutters for the perfect finish.
